Air France/KLM Flying Blue: Promo Rewards for June 2023

The Air France/KLM Flying Blue loyalty program is well-known for its monthly rotating series of Promo Rewards, which offer 25–50% discounts on short-haul and long-haul redemptions on Air France and KLM flights.

The program has just released its Promo Rewards for June 2023, and there are offers to destinations in Central America, North America, and the Middle East. Luckily, there are Promo Rewards for business class flights to Montreal and Toronto this time around.

Now is a great time to plan travel to Europe for the summer months and through to the end of November.

Let’s take a look at what opportunities are available this month.

What Are Flying Blue Promo Rewards?

Promo Rewards are a major perk to being a member of Air France/KLM Flying Blue. Promo Rewards are released on a monthly basis and offer 25–50% off in select markets on Air France & KLM flights in various classes of service.

In addition to the 16 long-haul Promo Rewards, there are 10 short-haul Promo Rewards available for intra-European travel.

If you’re based in Toronto or Montreal, this is an excellent opportunity to score a deal on the hotly contested business class award space to and from Europe this summer. 

For Toronto- or Montreal-based travellers, you can get to Europe for as few as 41,250 miles, which is an absolute steal for a flight in business class.

Availability is fairly open over the summer months, although you’ll likely want to act quickly before the seats get booked up.

While the Promo Reward listing shows that the offer is valid for KLM flights, you can also find flights between Montreal or Toronto and Amsterdam via Paris with Air France at the discounted price.

The discount also applies to flights from Montreal or Toronto to other destinations in Europe, such as Budapest.

Indeed, you won’t find a much cheaper way to get across the Atlantic this summer and fall than what you can find with this month’s Promo Rewards. If you have a trip to Europe planned in the next few months, be sure to secure your seats soon before someone else takes advantage of the deal.

Keep in mind that Air France/KLM Flying Blue recently added free stopovers as a feature of the program. You can add a free stopover of up to one year on a redemption, and when combined with a Promo Reward, could be an excellent way to plan out a long-term trip at a great deal.

Promo Reward tickets are available for one-way and round-trip flights, allowing for flexibility in your travel plans. Promo Reward discounts are only applicable on the lowest standard award pricing when available, and not on dynamically priced flight segments. 

Keep in mind that Flying Blue Promo Rewards come with a booking deadline. You must book the June 2023 Promo Rewards during the month of June; however, the travel window extends all the way through November 30, 2023.

Lastly, it’s important to note that Promo Reward tickets typically cannot be changed, cancelled, or refunded. 

How to Earn Flying Blue Miles

You can earn Air France/KLM Flying Blue miles by booking flight tickets on Air France, KLM, and its SkyTeam partners.

Additionally, in Canada, you can transfer Amex MR points at a 1:0.75 ratio, which can be earned via the entire suite of American Express Membership Rewards credit cards. 

There’s also the recently launched Air France KLM World Elite Mastercard by Brim Financial. You’ll earn 5 Flying Blue miles per dollar spent, in addition to the Flying Blue miles you earn as a result of your Flying Blue status.

Furthermore, you can apply for the Bank of America Air France KLM World Elite Mastercard and earn a welcome bonus of 70,000 miles.

Lastly, when you transfer 60,000 Marriott Bonvoy points to Flying Blue, you’ll get a bonus of 5,000 miles on top of the usual 3:1 ratio, for a total of 25,000 Flying Blue miles. 

Overall, Flying Blue is a program that is rapidly growing in prominence for points collectors, especially with regular Promo Rewards and their credit card partnerships.
