The Air France/KLM Flying Blue loyalty program is well-known for its monthly rotating series of Promo Rewards, which offer 25–50% discounts on short-haul and long-haul redemptions on Air France and KLM flights.
The program has just released its Promo Rewards for April 2023, and there are offers to destinations in Africa, Central America, the Middle East, North America, and South America. Unfortunately, there aren’t any Promo Rewards for business class flights to North America this time around, but there are some smoking deals for economy and great business class deals to other destinations.
Let’s take a look at what opportunities are available this month.
What Are Flying Blue Promo Rewards?
Promo Rewards are a major perk to being a member of Air France/KLM Flying Blue. Promo Rewards are released on a monthly basis and offer 25–50% off in select markets on Air France & KLM flights in various classes of service.

This is one of the largest lists of Promo Rewards we’ve seen to date, and it covers a range of continents and destinations.
For Montreal-based travellers, you can get to Europe for just 7,500 miles, which is an absolute steal for a flight in economy. This covers direct flights between Montreal and Paris…
As well as flights from Montreal to other destinations in Europe, such as Budapest.
Heading from Paris to Dubai, you can score a seat in premium economy on a nearly seven-hour flight for just 22,500 miles.
As for business class redemptions, you can score a seat in business class between Europe and San Jose, Costa Rica for just 63,375 miles.
Or alternatively, you can fly in business class from Europe to Saint-Denis, Réunion, which is between Madagascar and Mauritius, for just 74,625 miles.
Indeed, you won’t find a much cheaper way to get across the Atlantic than what you can find with this month’s Promo Rewards. If you have a trip to Europe planned in the next few months, be sure to secure your seats soon before someone else takes advantage of the deal.
Keep in mind that Air France/KLM Flying Blue recently added free stopovers as a feature of the program. You can add a free stopover of up to one year on a redemption, and when combined with a Promo Reward, could be an excellent way to plan out a long-term trip at a great deal.
Promo Reward tickets are available for one-way and round-trip flights, allowing for flexibility in your travel plans. Promo Reward discounts are only applicable on the lowest standard award pricing when available, and not on dynamically priced flight segments.
Keep in mind that Flying Blue Promo Rewards come with a booking deadline. You must book the April 2023 Promo Rewards during the month of April; however, the travel window extends all the way through September 30, 2023.
Lastly, it’s important to note that Promo Reward tickets typically cannot be changed, cancelled, or refunded.
How to Earn Flying Blue Miles
You can earn Air France/KLM Flying Blue miles by booking flight tickets on Air France, KLM, and its SkyTeam partners.
Additionally, in Canada, you can transfer Amex MR points at a 1:0.75 ratio, which can be earned via the entire suite of American Express Membership Rewards credit cards.
There’s also the recently launched Air France KLM World Elite Mastercard by Brim Financial. You’ll earn 5 Flying Blue miles per dollar spent, in addition to the Flying Blue miles you earn as a result of your Flying Blue status.

Overall, Flying Blue is a program that is rapidly growing in prominence for points collectors, especially with regular Promo Rewards and their credit card partnerships.
