Air France/KLM Flying Blue: Promo Rewards for March 2023
The Air France/KLM Flying Blue loyalty program is well-known for its monthly rotating series of Promo Rewards, which offer 25–50% discounts on short-haul and long-haul redemptions on Air France and KLM flights.
The program has just released its Promo Rewards for March 2023, and there are offers to destinations in Africa, Central America, the Middle East, North America, and South America. Unfortunately, there aren’t any Promo Rewards for business class flights to North America this time around, but there are some great business class deals to other destinations.
Let’s take a look at what opportunities are available this month.
What Are Flying Blue Promo Rewards?
Promo Rewards are a major perk to being a member of Air France/KLM Flying Blue. Promo Rewards are released on a monthly basis and offer 25–50% off in select markets on Air France & KLM flights in various classes of service.
This month’s long-haul Promo Rewards include:
- 50% discount on Air France premium economy and business class awards between Europe and Antananarivo, Madagascar
- 50% discount on Air France business class awards between Europe and Bogota
- 25% discount on Air France business class awards between Europe and Tel Aviv
- 25% discount on Air France business class awards between Europe and Mumbai
- 25% discount on Air France premium economy awards between Europe and Douala, Cameroon
- 25% discount on Air France economy awards between Europe and Cayenne, French Guiana
- 25% discount on Air France economy awards between Europe and Lagos
- 25% discount on Air France economy awards between Europe and Libreville
- 25% discount on Air France economy awards between Europe and Malé
- 25% discount on Air France economy awards between Europe and Miami
- 25% discount on Air France economy awards between Europe and Johannesburg

In addition to the 17 long-haul Promo Rewards, there are nine short-haul Promo Rewards available for intra-European travel.
This is one of the largest lists of Promo Rewards we’ve seen to date, and it covers a range of continents. There are some great deals here, especially if you have a trip planned to Madagascar or Colombia from Europe, as you’ll get 50% off business class flights to/from those destinations.
For travel in economy, there are some intriguing options for travel in economy to far-flung destinations, which could be of interest to anyone looking to nest a trip to another continent when visiting Europe or for travellers based in Europe to score a deal to somewhere far away.
For travellers located in the United States, you can score cheap flights from Miami or Austin to Europe in economy for just 12,750 or 18,375 Flying Blue miles, respectively.
Indeed, you won’t find a much cheaper way to get across the Atlantic than what you can find with this month’s Promo Rewards. If you have a trip to Europe planned in the next few months, be sure to secure your seats soon if you can access either of these hubs.
Promo Reward tickets are available for one-way and round-trip flights, allowing for flexibility in your travel plans. Promo Reward discounts are only applicable on the lowest standard award pricing when available, and not on dynamically priced flight segments.
Keep in mind that Flying Blue Promo Rewards come with a booking deadline. You must book the March 2023 Promo Rewards during the month of March; however, the travel window extends all the way through August 31, 2023.
Note that the deal on flights to Miami is only valid until for travel until May 31, 2023, but the rest of the Promo Rewards are available for travel up to August 31, 2023.
Lastly, it’s important to note that Promo Reward tickets typically cannot be changed, cancelled, or refunded.
How to Earn Flying Blue Miles
You can earn Air France/KLM Flying Blue miles by booking flight tickets on Air France, KLM, and its SkyTeam partners.
Additionally, in Canada, you can transfer Amex MR points at a 1:0.75 ratio, which can be earned via the entire suite of American Express Membership Rewards credit cards.
There’s also the recently launched Air France KLM World Elite Mastercard by Brim Financial. You’ll earn 5 Flying Blue miles per dollar spent, in addition to the Flying Blue miles you earn as a result of your Flying Blue status.

Furthermore, you can apply for the Bank of America Air France KLM World Elite Mastercard and earn a welcome bonus of 50,000 miles.
Lastly, when you transfer 60,000 Marriott Bonvoy points to Flying Blue, you’ll get a bonus of 5,000 miles on top of the usual 3:1 ratio, for a total of 25,000 Flying Blue miles.
Overall, Flying Blue is a program that is rapidly growing in prominence for points collectors, especially with regular Promo Rewards and their credit card partnerships.
